Prolactin level?

I'm not pregnant but my prolactin hormone level is elevated (like where it would be for a pregnant woman). I'm not sure what else can cause an increase. Anyone had experience with this or know about it?

A few things off the top of my head: drugs that affect dopamine (phenothiazines, metoclopramide, risperidone, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, estrogens, verapamil), some kinds of benign pituitary tumors, stress, low thyroid function. Hope they get it figured out quickly for you!

Would you guys mind sharing your prolactin levels? Long story short, I was diagnosed with a microprolactinoma about 10years ago when I had prolactin level of 50. My period was always regular. I was put on bromocriptine which I stopped 6 months ago. I'm 4wks pregnant and currently my prolactin is 37. Anyone pregnant with prolactinoma? Or know he average prolactin levels in pregnancy?

Mine was high too! My doctor wasnt worried though just said we'll check it again in a couple months.
