Thyroid disease

I have hypo-thyroid disease and recently 4 friends of mine who also suffer have become pregnant when not taking their thyroid meds. If I miss my meds for more than a week my period stops. My first question ia because I'm not getting my period does that mean I am also not ovulating? My second question is does anyone else have thyroid disease and have gotten pregnant when they don't take their med?
