My SO's family "I want to avoid them"

My SO's family is so dysfunctional and inconsiderate. I hate going to family events. They complain about everything. When I talk I get interrupted. I just had to deal with an ectopic pregnancy and my SO's mom won't stop talking about her daughters pregnancy.

Yesterday

I went to a funeral mass and the woman who passed away was excited about my pregnancy. I didn't know this, her son came up to me and said that when I was in the hospital dealing with my pregnancy loss she was praying and thinking of me. I got upset and started to cry. Later that same day I went over to my SO's mom's house and she started talking about her daughters pregnancy. I just wanted to walk out.

I'm still too sensitive. I'll not be seeing them for a while. My pregnancy loss is still fresh in my mind.
