Late ovulation on clomid.

I was just wondering if anyone experienced late ovulation still while on Clomid? My cycles have been very irregular since my first miscarriage. Now my doc put me on Clomid, but I still seem to be ovulating really late. My blood drew was done in cd22 and it showed that I didn't ovulate. I knew I didn't because all my opks were negative. I did run out of them and so I think I may have during the time I ran out because my cm was they was it looked during ovulation and that was around cd28. Anyone experience the same thing?
