Poas during 2 trimester

Anyone taken a home pregnancy test lately?  I'm afraid to take one because of the hook effect, but also looking for some reassurance between appointments.  I have a drawer full of the cheapies calling my name.  I have had two losses which is causing anxiety and for me to want to try this foolishness!  😑  Not feeling movement yet and not really showing at 16w, so I'm tempted.
