Back labor!?

Question

I'm being induced in 8 days but my back pain has been terrible!! I've been having contractions the last week but nothing steady (water hasn't broke) I'm having pain that shoots up my spine and wraps around to my hips! It is so bad does anyone know if thus could be the start of back labor??

I was told I've been having back labor and that I should try to get baby to turn around on there... I've been doing these two exercises: 1. Get on your hands and knees and rock your pelvis back and forth and 2. Lay on your side, put bottom leg straight out, top leg knee to chest and propped on a pillow when you are resting/sleeping. I've done this for the past two days and the back pain has actually seemed to cease and I can feel contractions in my abdomen now (I'm in early labor) so hopefully she has turned to face my back. Hope this helps!

The back pain has been consistent since 3 something yesterday in the after noon.. It's now 9:45am & it's caused me to start losing mucus plug, also ever since the middle of last night my stomach has been tightening!! Not completely painful, very uncomfortable.. Slightly unbarable ...

Could be I had back labor with my first and it hurt constantly even between contractions. However, it is normal to have back pain and menstral type cramps before real labor. It's a good sign your body is getting ready. It just sucks. I've had these pains all weekend.

I have been getting bad back pain off and on and my nurse said she thinks I'll have back labor. We didn't really discuss it though.
