What is this?!?!

My son has been with his aunt for 2 days, just got home from work a bit ago, and noticed after he stripped that he spots all over his leg. Sent him to the bath to wash up, and it spread to his belly, now his arms, back and other leg!!! What is it?!? It's flat and round, not raised not pimply. And it itches.

It looks like an allergic reaction to something. Put some benadryl cream on it. Or hydrocortisone cream and give him some allergy med like zyrtec

Update! So we went to the dr today. Dr says its buffalo gnat bites. Said that because the rain we have had they are super bad this summer and bites popping up everywhere. They said that chances are nothing spread, it's just that the warm water from the bath forced the bites to show a reaction quicker. He said nothing o worry about make sure your using bug spray with deet every time you go out side

Chigger bites my daughter had them all over her leg also, we got something called chiggerex 2xpower its anti itch stuff for all type of bug bites works wonders...if they are buffalo gnats which they do not look like, use vanilla spray only thing that repels them, we get them so horrible here in illinois

Is their a larger patch on his abdomen? If so, was that the first patch that you or he noticed? It could be something called pitasaria rosea (give or take on the spelling, sorry!) I had something that looked like this a few years back and that's what it turned out to be. Google it and see if it matches the symptoms.
