Metformin Success Stories??

Question

My doctor has put me on Metformin. She figures I have PCOS.. (Cysts were found on my ovaries) 
Anyways. It's making me feel really bad nausea and get headaches. Is that normal ? And has anyone gotten pregnant on it ?
I'm trying really hard to bear the nausea but it sucks 😔
Hoping this metformin works.. Success stories ?

I have a success story!!! I was on Metformin for 4 months. Never been pregnant. I had cyst too. Once my periods where regulated for even two months, I got pregnant! It's weird to say that. I never thought I would see the day and now, I'm 18 weeks and 3 days. The neausa and headaches are very normal. Hang in there. Track everything. When you have sex, when you bleed, when you spot. Everything. Because I did that, my dr was able to tell me exactly how far along I am. I found out at 6 weeks and 3 days. 
Don't give up!!! It will happen. I'm 33 and got preggo right away! Everyone is diff of course. But doesn't mean it can't happen for you. Good luck

I have a success story! Well I think so at least ha. I started 1000mg of the metformin extended release in March. The first couple of weeks, I had diarrhea in the morning but I always took it a little closer to bed time to avoid the abdominal discomfort. I've been on it for three months following a PCOS diagnosis and I got my BFP last week! :) due March 9th 2016. When I started, I had a tennis ball size cyst on my right ovary. We'll find out on the 21st if it's gone or has shrunk at all. Good luck and baby dust!

I've been on it for about 5 months. It's terrible on my stomach but I've found if I watch my sugar and gluten intake it's not bad (definitely not on a gluten free diet but just watching it closer). No success yet but I have hope!

My wife was not taking birth control for 2 years.  We had very frequent sex.  Her periods were somewhat weird - often up to about 35 days.  She missed one completely. She has acne and is a little hairy.  She is not overweight.  Then she had blood tests and an ultrasound and was declared not to be ovulating due to PCOS.  She started taking Metformin and 10 days later from a blood test was declared to be ovulating.  (I found this hard to believe).  Another 4 weeks later still taking Metformin and she is pregnant !  She immediately stopped taking Metformin.  She is 9 weeks now and we are scared if the baby is ok and if all will be well.  But the power of Metformin in our case seems magical.

I started metformin in February, and I just got my bfp on Friday. I don't know if it was because of metformin, though. We used Preseed this cycle and I took Geritol (at the insistence of my dad who swears that there's a baby in every bottle, but it tastes disgusting).

As for metformin side effects, I had headaches and dizzy spells, as well as terrible awful diarrhea that still has not stopped.

I did get pregnant on metformin in November, but miscarried in December. :( Metformin has been my miracle drug; normal periods and ovulation with the help of clomid. We have been ttc for just over 4 years.

I've been on it for over a year and it still tears up my stomach. It didn't do anything to help me ovulate, thank god for fertility meds. What it is great for is when you do get pregnant it lessens the risk of having a mc. So make sure you take it for that reason alone :)

I started Metformin just over 2 months ago for PCOS and I had the worst nausea! So bad that I contemplated stopping. I've read that having the ER (early release) can help. I take 1000mg every day at night and I've also found that I HAVE to eat with them or I feel terrible. It really does eventually get better!!! I can't tell you if it helped work (find out later this week) but I used letrozole, trigger shot and had an IUI in conjunction with Metformin. Good luck!!!

No success story here. Was diagnosed at 15 been on and off metformin since. But I was on the same dosage for 10years. Within the last month I was told it is to low of a dose so he changed me to 1000 2x a day but was to much for my tummy to handle so I just started 850 2x a day today and it's a lot better but he wants me at 1000 2x so we will work my way up. No period this month I'm on 170 days no period, I'm seeing and ob/gyn the 20th in hopes of getting some answers and solutions as to how me and my so can get pregnant

Make sure you eat with the metformin. I was making the mistake of eating and then waiting and taking the meds.
