Partners family
I have been dating my partner for 6 months, we are aged 20 and 21. Recenetly, due to some scrutiny over Facebook of all things, his sister of my age and his mother have decided due to my stance on many political and social justice issues, that I am not good enough for my partner and his family. He never stands up for me but says that is love for me is so much bigger than the little things we disagree on and pushes this sort of thing to the side. I feel unwelcome in his house knowing that his mother and sister have opposite views to me in terms of same-sex marriage, transgender people, feminism, home schooling, and many other issues. Am I overreacting in feeling anxious or should I just break it off now before we both get too deep into this relationship and discover more and more things our families disagree on m?
