Is anyone else on here, a Recovering addict?

Any advice on length of time it takes for your fertility to go back to normal? If your fertility is affected long term, or just short term? or if it affects it at all? Looking for serious, positive information Only, Not judgement!

I am a recovering addict.... 3 years and counting. Congrats to you for being clean! Its a long hard battle.  Not sure how if at all my use effected my fertility......I ovulate and have regular periods now.so if your regular I just suggest tracking ovulation and if your still worried find a doctor or on you trust and can be honest with about your use and they can help :)

I have no advice on this because I have not been in that situation. But I'm just stopping by to say WAY TO GO!!! addiction is a hard thing to handle and it takes the strongest to get through it. I don't know you but I'm proud of you!!!! #YouGoGirl

I ovulate regularly now. I'd say maybe 4 or 5 months, depending on what you're recovering from. I drank every night to the point of blacking out, while popping pain pills and smoking weed 2-3 times a day (like a lot of weed each time, not a little). It's still a bit of a struggle sometimes to say no, especially when those things are still so readily available. I've been sober for 8 months now. I'm so proud and things have really been amazing since I quit all the bullshit, but sometimes my brain likes to kick me in the chest and remind me how much I smiled and laughed when I was high.

I am a recovering addict. Been clean for almost 5 years. I do not believe it affected my fertility, I still have regular periods. We have been ttc for almost 2 years though. But if it is something you are concerned with, you could always speak with your doctor. They are there to help you and a lot of the time will do whatever they can to ease your mind. Congratulations on getting clean, keep your head on straight and you can continue to live clean. :) good luck and lots of baby dust

Hello :)
I was a crack addict, I smoked about 4-5 points a day I slept and ate only once a week and I did this for 3 years when I met my husband he helped me quit cold turkey and I did and we actually conceived within 4 months of my quitting 3 months trying I stopped BC in January and conceived in April

So I don't think it effect fertility

I have been clean for 1 year and 2 months. I will be 16 weeks pregnant tomorrow. There is hope.
