Does anyone's SO's or husbands smoke!..

So I don't smoke but my fiancé does, been ttc for 3 months. He's been smoking since 17 he's 35 plus he's diabetic takes metformin. I've been to Dr pretty good on my end no medical issues or medications. I'm wondering if his things will hinder us ttc? What y'all think?

My SO  smokes and my doc said if he stops it would increase our chances by 50%

It's hard to say if that effects TTC. I know a lot of studies say it does and I'm not arguing with them but my husband and I were both smokers when I conceived.

I'm pretty sure smoking can lower sperm count. I'm not sure about the diabetic meds he is on so you may want to research that. You've only TTC for 3 months and that is not a very long time so I wouldn't question or worry about these things just yet. Good luck and baby dust to you!
