Marijuana during pregnancy??

I am 6 weeks and have been using marijuana edibles because it is the only thing that subsides nausea. I won't smoke it because it cuts off oxygen and I refuse to do anything that harms my little baby. My best friend smoked pot for the first 2 trimesters of her pregnancy and her daughter (now 2 years old) is very bright and shows no signs of any defective behavior. Studies haven't found any side effects from marijuana use during pregnancy, I'm just curious about what other people's opinions on the topic are!
