There are ways to honor someone beyond using the exact name: the middle can be the month grandpa was born, or his favorite actress, or just start with Ru. Tell hubby to get creative!

Very boyish, Finley is a boy and girl name and I feel if you a a unisex first name you should either ha e a girly middle name for a girl and a boy middle name for a boy...but this is just me if you like it then that's all that matters

My brother's name was Russell. I also went to college with a girl named Russell so if you love the name go for it.

Russell could have been a last name which is why I said it was okay. Most people would probably think it was someone's maiden name.
