training dogs around babies?!?

Hi all! So I am about 17 weeks pregnant and today my husband brought home a 9 weeks old puppy. We both love dogs and already have a lab, but she is 4 and wonderful. I'm really worried about training a puppy and bringing in a baby come December. Any have experience with larger dogs and new borns? Or in particular this breed of dog? He is a full bred akc Siberian husky. Small now but not for long!

Congratulations you just got a really difficult/high energy dog,  who if it isn't properly stimulated it can start acting out.  AND you are about to have a child.. Who will require 24/7 care..  I hope you have raised a puppy before..  Also huskies can be very one person animals so it may only really like one of you..  My parents had huskies (for 5yrs before the had me)  who were very awesome with me when I was a baby.  But they had two because the first one lived for my dad and barely tolerated my mom, (they were siblings)

I've never had an issue with a dog, except for Huskies! They need a lot of stimulation. They are extremely intelligent. Each breed has a person they are suited for. We like to stick with our dobermans.

Soo cute! The older dog will probably show the new one the ropes so it hopefully won't be as difficult as it would be without another dog.

Wow beautiful pup! I got an 8 week old maltipoo when my baby was 4 months old so it wasn't too bad but that's a much bigger dog you have. Good luck :)
