Slightly Confused

I'm new to the group so bear with me if I don't have the abbreviations correct haha. I'm TTC and my app says I'm fertile now. However, does that mean I'm ovulating? If not, when does that happen? My partner and I both have one child and he wants another one. I've only wen trying for about a month now but just wanted to make sure we're trying at the right times😜
