When should I test ? Help

Question

The last time I had sex was  on July 8th , protected sex btw.

My period was due on 20th ; but din't show .. I tested twice , one 3 days back , still shows a negative .. how long in does it show a positive ?

If you're this late and getting negatives chances are your cycle is either re-regulating or you are stressed about something and it's making your period late. Try to relax and if you really feel like you're pregnant and AF hasn't shown up in a week go see your doc and try a blood test, I didn't get positive HPTs with my second pregnancy until I was 5 weeks, I miscarried at 7 weeks.

You can test as soon as your period is due and it should be accurate. Maybe something else is causing your period to be late. Or maybe you aren't reading the tests right and there was a faint line? If you want a definite answer, see your doctor
