At what age?

Do all of you instill good hygiene into your children?

For instance, my son knows that he has to shower daily, make sure that his clothes match, and his hair is nice. To brush his teeth at least twice a day, that he is not to leave the house with food on his face, and that he is to wear deodorant and cologne before going to school. He has been doing this since the age of 8, he's now 9. I want him to always look his best and to take care of himself. Always.

How old were your children when you had them doing these things? Am I being too excessive? Like I said, I just want my child to always look and to take care of himself the proper way. I want him to be always be presentable.
