Rash??

Question

My little girl is almost 2 months old and has cradle cap but has this bad rash on her forehead and one of her ears.  Could this be from the cradle cap or is it baby acne, Eczema??? Never had to deal with my 1st so I really dunno what it could be. Thanks for ur helpful comments!! 😊

If it started with cradle cap, the rash on her face is probably baby acne, which is considered a form of dandruff (according to my pediatrician). My doctor said to try gentle Head and Shoulders shampoo every other day. If she doesn't show improvement after a week or so, I'd check with the doctor tonsew if it's eczema. Shes so cute!

Aww, my baby girl had the same thing... well, sort of. If you know for a fact that it's not an allergic reaction, no need to worry cause at this age, their pores are still closed & are prone to cradle cap, baby acne, & rash. My LO had a cradle cap & it would run down her forehead (literally her entire forehead!) It would scab & swell up so much esp in the heat that I felt so bad for her! She'd scratch & scratch & it would agitate the spot even more! After a few Dr visits & none of the first few treatments worked (change baby wash, use a little anti dandruff shampoo, put oatmeal, etc), she was finally prescribed an ointment w/ steroids & it worked almost immediately!

But w/ your LO, it looks like a mild case of baby acne (or maybe heat rash?)... it's very common & will go away on its own! W/ my LO, hers unfortunately developed into eczema & breaks out/swells up in the heat! 😞

Have you tried anything new with her before she got the rash? Is it anywhere else? I was wondering if maybe it could be an allergic reaction.

My son who is gonna be 4 on feb 26   He had something similar we tried everything oatmeal baths. Ezenma oitments, washed all the linens and clothes in baby laundry soap. This went on for about 12 days.  we figured out it was my sisters perfume spray that's why it was only on the one side of his face and ear. Cause she would hold him the same way every time. Oh and my son did have crailed cap we got rid of it my use baby oil and little scrubbing his head with.a baby brush. But throw always the baby brush when done it hold the bacteria and it will come back.
