A husband and a girlfriend?

I have been married for many years to a wonderful man.  I have known he was bi-curious since we got married, and in the last couple years, I have come to the realization that I am too.  I am the jealous type, which he knows, and am not comfortable letting him explore these feelings, except by sharing his fantasies with me.  He, on the other hand, loves the idea of me being with other people, both sexually and emotionally.  Knowing that he is 100% ok with it, and even encouraging me, is really making my desire to have a girlfriend to explore with grow.  Has anyone else had this type of arrangement with their husband?  Everything would be totally out in the open with all involved partners.  Am I completely terrible wanting to explore my curiosity without being willing to let my husband explore his?

Nope. I would never have a lopsided arrangement in my marriage. If your husband is allowing you to have other relationships, there's probably going to come a time where he wants an equal take on it. If you're not prepared for that, I would pass. These arrangements rarely bring people closer

Yes join  the polyamorous/Consensual non-monogamous group (if you look in my profile you can find it)  we can answer any questions you have.  This is normal, and getting to a point in a relationship where you can discuss these possibilities with your partner and keep communication open will be amazing for your relationship.  And Jealousy also happens but there are ways of learning to talk about it and be aware of it and not let it control your life.

No. Im glad he's open and kind. An immature asshole would have taken the advantage and tried to bargain you exploring for him exploring. But he didn't. Some people are more comfortable with sharing than others. He's probably fine with a monogamous relationship whereas you'd probably be happier in a poly amorous one.

L... sounds like you've made your mind up already. Maybe try worrying in a journal or expressing yourself in another way. You're purely defending the  arrangement not accepting anyone else's view on this situation. If you know your husband so well then do what you feel is right..

I don't think it's terrible at all, I think it's pretty natural but I do think that you need to discuss the risks a 3rd party brings to your relationship. I also don't think it's fair that you get to explore your fantasies without letting him explore his and I would be surprised if one thing didn't lead to another. Just weight the pros and cons together.
