How long before you started telling people?

So I just found out I'm pregnant. Still doesn't seem real! I'm like 4 weeks and 4 days. I haven't even been to the doctor yet. My husband is so excited he's telling everyone!! I'm nervous to start announcing it incase something happens. How long did you ladies wait?

I'm just as far along as you and we have told almost everyone. My thought process is that we love this baby and want to celebrate it's life. Also god forbid if something happened to this child I would want our friends and family to know so that they could love on us, check on us and support us through a difficult time. I don't think loss should be so taboo to discuss. I'm hoping to help change the conversation with my friends and family.

I announced mine at 8 weeks. I think of it as more people that know , the more people you have praying for you and the baby!

With my first i waited till the three month mark. With this one i told everyone immediately. I told my best friend before i even told my hubby 😊 but he was at work and i needed to share my excitement with someone

I am 9 weeks an haven't told anyone other than my mother and his mother. We will announce it at 4months.

We've only told my OH's dad and nana because it was his grandads funeral and he thought it would be a nice positive on the day. We're waiting till 12 weeks which falls on my LO's 4th birthday party. Get to tell all our friends and family at the same time then. But am not planning on telling work until I legally have too.

I just had a miscarriage at 5 weeks. And had to have that uncomfortable conversation with my family and best friends. So going forward we will wait until after the first trimester.

My first pregnancy I told everyone I saw right away. I ended up with a blighted ovum and everyone looking at me like a hurt puppy for months after made things worse. This time I want to wait until after the first ultrasound to tell my family and after the first trimester to tell people at work. It is hard to keep quite though.
