Changing table, yay or nay?

Hello ladies!
           As a first time mom with plenty of mommy friends, I've been getting a ton of suggestions on nursery must haves. I was wondering how many of you experienced mommies recommend getting a changing table for the nursery? A lot of my friends say it's a waste of money and that they never use theirs. Thoughts please??

We bought a dresser and put a changing table mattress on the top :)

Changing table worked for us. But this time around I think we're going to have a dresser with a changing pad on top, it's more particle for the long run.

I've been going back and forth about getting a changing table. I don't really have an empty dresser top to throw a hanging pad on, but I was thinking I could use the changer that comes with the pack n play. It's probably gonna all come down to if there's room in my bedroom after we set up the crib.

Get one!  I'm on a budget but a changing table is a must have! I used one with my boys 8 years ago and will use one with this baby. It's so convenient and stores everything you need too. You can always convert a dresser into one...I highly recommend getting one!!

No changing table for me. I purchased a changing pad to go on top of my dresser.

Don't see the point are you really going to run to the room to change baby everytime or just do it in the lounge if that's where you happen to be ? My sil got the whole changing table thing etc and she is forever just using a towel on floor also less stress of rolling when that happens having to hook them up everytime you Wana change them etc

I got one for my first, and it looks more like a bookcase than a changer. But, I am too short and could not get a good angle to change my girl so I changed her on the bed or floor on a pad. I love the changer for storage but it did not work for me as an actual changer!

I say no because when in a rush you might forget to buckle the straps around the baby and they are so quick to roll. I just plan to keep a changing pad velcro to the end of the baby bed to change her in the bed.
