How many newborn disposables?

So I am using newborn disposables until he can fit into OS cloth. To me it's just not worth it to buy newborn cloth. How many disposables should I have? It's my first baby so I don't know how long they generally are in nb and size 1. I just had my baby shower but NO ONE got me diapers. So I am trying to figure out how many to go buy myself! Thanks!

Depends on how much your baby weighs at birth. Newborn diapers are for up to 10lbs. My daughter was born 6lbs 7oz and at 1mth only weighs 8lbs. So far she has went thru 300ish diapers. Around 10 a day. I'm also going to cloth diaper but my little lady is just to small for my cloth. I was hoping to go to cloth when she gets to 10lbs.

i have like 5 packs that have 30-40 each in them and a box of 70. after those are all gone we are switching to cloth! hoping what we have lasts about 4 weeks

Newborns usually use the bathroom between 6-12 times a day, but it could be more.  I would base it off of that.  As for when they move to size 1, that depends on each baby :)
