My life as a Volunteer Doula
It's hard to describe the joy I feel when I get to experience the miracle of life and just how precious it is. I was given the gift and honor of aiding in the delivery of this sweet little girl a week ago. She and her amazing parents had a very rough first week as she had to spend her first 5 days in the neonatal intensive care unit and has to stay at the hospital for further monitoring. She is thriving and I am so proud of her and her mom and dad. I'm beyond thrilled that I got to finally hold her for the first time today.
