Effects after birth control pill

How long after you got off the birth control pill did it take you to get pregant? Get a period? Do you really ovulate 2 weeks after stopping the pill? My last sugar pill was the July 25th and 2 weeks later is about when we started "trying" and I have yet to get a period. Was suppose to come a week and half ago...could I be pregnant? Or is it abnormal period due to being off birth control? Ugh so confused.
