Who helped you after you had your baby?

Question

My friend just had a baby and her Dr. Said she can't cook, clean, drive, climb stairs or anything for two weeks. She does not have anyone to help during those two weeks. So I was wondering if most people just do it alone or have people who are able to help them take care of the baby.

Most people are doing it on their own. I mean is is wonderful if you can afford a pp doula and it would take a load off. Same with if you have family to help you. I wish everyone could have support
