Can you use a ovulation test as a pregnancy test?

I got my BFP on an ovulation test 2 days before I could get a + on a regular early test, and 4 days before the digital. I was 7 DPO.

Answer

It is not a reliable method of testing for pregnancy as it is a different hormone than the one that develops when you are pregnant. LH can also be high in pregnancy but you can also ovulate at different or multiple times during your cycle. By the time an ovulation test would show a strong positive I pregnancy a pregnancy test would as well. There's no way to be sure until you take an HPT. Good luck!
