Too Early or Miscarriage??

Question

Had my first ultrasound today and the results were not what we were expecting. Based on my last period and pregnancy tests I was estimated at 9 weeks. When we did the ultrasound it showed two sacs but they were empty. Is it possible we miscalculated and I'm still just too early?? Or could I be on my way to a miscarriage?? I know you all don't know me, but any positive thoughts, vibes or prayers would be greatly appreciated.

When I went in for my first ultrasound I was supposed to be 9w4d but the babies measured 6w1d. Doctor said I probably just ovulated late. One of the twins heart stopped at 7 weeks, but we went on to have a healthy pregnancy with our survivor. I'd wait a few weeks and go back.

I had a blighted ovum for my first pregnancy (sac but no baby). It was frustrating because the sac kept growing, hcg kept rising, no signs that I would miscarry on my own. I made sure I did a couple of ultrasounds before making any decisions because some people can't see the fetal pole/yolk sac until later because of the position of the baby/uterus etc. I would talk to the doc and make sure you wait as long as you feel comfortable. I'm praying that I'm off. I'm scared that I'm not. I feel like I couldn't take care of my babies and that this is my fault. Trying to stay positive but I am truly devastated.

i went in for an ultrasound at 8 weeks the ultrasound showed only the sac my dr put me at 5w6d. she wasnt worried and told me i probably just ovulated late. i was scheduled for another ultrasound 2 weeks later. the friday before my ultrasound i began bleeding heavily mixed with cramping. i went to the hospitol and the dr confirmed i was misscarrying. hopefully you will have better luck thsn i did.

What did the doctor or tech say about the ultrasound? My baby measured about one week behind in the beginning.

I miscarried about 3.5 months ago. Went in to get ultrasound at 10 weeks and there was two sacs, one empty and one with a non viable fetus. It's was devastating! So sorry, maybe things will be better for you.

I have had 2 of these types of miscarriages. There is a chance you miscalculated but most likely you have a blight ovum. I am sorry. :(

Unfortunately you would have to be off by about 4 weeks for it to just be a sac with no visible fetus. Usually they can see a heartbeat at around 6 weeks. I had an ultrasound at 7 weeks due to bleeding and they could see him moving in there. I later lost that pregnancy at 11 weeks and the sac was about the size of a softball at that point.

There's always hope, but I'm surprised that you were told about the sacs and not what that means in terms of what to expect?
