I didn't realize how abnormal it was?

I've seen some posts on here about younger girls asking sexual questions and the majority of the comments I've seen are along the lines of saying it's not okay in their opinion for teenagers who aren't adults yet to be having sex. I lost my virginity when I was 13 which I know IS abnormal and very young and I can absolutely say I was not ready and had a lot of emotional issues to deal with because of it, but I obviously I had sex through all my teen years so hearing a 15/16/17 year old is having sex doesn't seem out of the norm to me at all. How old were most of you when you lost your virginity?  will you be honest with your children if it was at a young age? I've thought a lot about whether I will tell my daughters when they ask the truth my mother even advised me to lie. I think I will tell the truth and let them know the damage it did and why I would hope they would wait until they know they are 100% ready. What would you advise?
