Condoms

Is it a crime to not wear condoms... I'm not married, but I have one partner and we live together. I'm 18 years old, and we're both STD/HIV free. I've been told recently I'm very stupid and ignorant if I do not wear condoms. I'm just wondering if other people wear condoms at this age?? Or what are people's thoughts on not wearing condoms.. I honestly don't think it's stupid if you just sleep with ONE person, and you're both STD free. So what I'm asking is do you think it's stupid for girls with one partner to not wear condoms?
