Sti before n worried

I have had chlamydia in the past..and had it for almost 3 years before I found out. Once I found out, I got treated, and since then, I am worried I may be infertile. Me and my husband have been trying for a year and no luck. I'm 28 and my doctor sort of brushes my concerns under the rug as if I'm being paranoid. On top of that, I had a LEEP done back when I was 20, and had a quarter sized chunk of my cervix removed. Has anyone ever had an sti for that long, and still been able to conceive? Im worried I will never have another child. And ins. Issues are keeping me from seeing a specialist at this moment.
