Opinions On Jealousy? 🙊

So I have my wonderful boyfriend who I am crazy about. Yet, I'm not the jealous one. He is jealous. Really jealous. He rather me stay indoors than go out (he told me and I quote "if it were up to me, you'd be home all day"). I mean he is always bringing other guys up for no reason what so ever and it frustrates me. Especially now that I just started going onsite to college for my sophomore year and well he's already graduated (he's 26). Anyways, I've already tried talking to him about it and I've even given him an ultimatum but he begs me to please give him another chance. I mean I'm jealous too but it's just playing around and he's so crazy about me that I never worry but I am crazy about him too! Is there anything else I can do? He's told me he is obsessed and I'm the only girl that he's ever been like this to. 😳 Opinions? Anyone?

from personal experience, I dated an older guy who was extremely jealous for 3 years. first it started with casual talk about how he didnt like how guys look at me, then saying I need to alter how I dress because what I wore was provoking men to stare at me, and it progressed to a whole slew of arguments because he was jealous and blamed me for not doing anything to prevent men from looking at me. and when I got sick of it, he became abusive, both physically and emotionally. when I tried to leave him, he threatens to commit suicide. that's how our relationship went for 3 years until I finally had had enough and I ended it and everything ended up okay, they were only threats, he didn't actually intend on committing suicide but he was so manipulative that he wanted me to believe he would. I guess the moral of my long-winded story is that things escalated very quickly and before I knew it I was over my head in a toxic relationship that I couldn't get myself out of. so from girl to girl, if any of this sounds like what's going on with you and your boyfriend, take care of yourself before things escalate, and if it doesn't, just keep an eye out for the signs.

It sounds like he really is in love with you and doesn't want to lose you. In today's world a guy who doesn't have straying eyes is super hard to find and I'd feel comforted knowing he cares so much, because he wouldn't want to lose you. So he wouldn't do something to screw that up either.
