How did you tell your SO?

How did you tell your SO when you found out you're were pregnant after a miscarriage?

When he came home from work I said, "Ty (our son who was stillborn last year) sent us a present) then rubbed my stomach. He wasn't sure about us having another child so soon but he is now thrilled.

I found out when he was at work (this was about 2 weeks before father's day) I called my best friend and told her. She stopped at the store and read all these fathers day cards to me and I over the phone picked one. She brought it over. I wrote "guess what pops..... <3 us"  I normally sign notes to him <3 me but this one was different. He worked 17 hours straight that day and didn't quite get it at first. But he was excited as all hell when he figured it out.

I cried. Not happy tears. I wasn't ready to be pregnant again. I hadn't healed emotionally from the loss. I called him into our bedroom and sobbed. It wasn't really a happy time. It was more of shock until we made it out of the first trimester. I know a lot of couples would have been thrilled. We just weren't ready yet.

He stood next to me as we counted down the minutes until it was time check the pregancy test. Pink lines never thrilled me so much.

I went and bought a card and placed the pregnancy test inside.
