BC and sensitive teeth

I know this might sound funny but I started the pill about a week ago and now my teeth are extremely sensitive. My teeth are very healthy..never have sensitivity issue but as of a few days ago it hurts just to brush. I feel like I'm tearing my gums open with my tooth brush. Has anyone else experienced this? I know it's odd to think that BC could affect my gums but it is the only thing that I've changed recently.
