Question about 2nd appointment.

I had my first appointment at 7w4d (baby was measuring) and I go back in October when I will be almost 11w. They see you every four weeks until your third trimester. I'm assuming they won't do another ultrasound since I had one at my "first" new OB appt (I've been getting them since I found out I was pregnant due to history of ectopic). How do they reassure you the baby still has a heartbeat and there is no missed miscarriages and everything is normal? It's a weird question, I was just seen so early! Any thoughts?
