When to tell new boss you're pregnant?

Today was my third day at my new job and so far I love it! But at the same time I feel like I'm carrying around this burden not telling my new boss I'm pregnant. I'm currently 5 weeks and 4 days. My first ultrasound is 9/29. Should I wait til then to say something?

I would wait until the second trimester begins...you're not very far along now and you could easily say (whenever you decide to tell) "I just found out I'm pregnant." Whenever you do, I would go in prepared to talk about how much you're enjoying work and looking forward to returning after baby, and that you'll be sure to help work it out so it's as easy as possible for everyone while you're gone. I think going in with positive, proactive communication in addition to the news is important.

I have worked in my job since March I am 5wks 3days with my second. I told my boss last week only because I work on a EMI unit and some of the clients can be violent and did not want to put myself a risk. With my 1st I worked behind a bar and waited until I was 17weeks to tell my boss. I had started showing so had no choice really.

I told my boss at 10 weeks after my first ultrasound. I told a little earlier than usual, but I thought it was the right thing to do for me and my work.
