Baby Shower, is it too early???

I need feedback please... I am going on my 4th child and we are planning a baby shower in Nov... However I will only be 26 weeks... We are trying to do it in Nov to avoid the holidays, etc... My hubby says Jan is cutting it close since I usually end up on bed rest and in preterm labor. (My last one was a preemie) . I'm already seeing a high risk GYN.... 26 weeks just seems so early tho... But I would rather do it while I can.. Any feedback??? My due date is feb 14th...

If it's you're 4th baby is there really all that much you need to throw a big shower? I think the holidays will be perfect timing, just do baby celebrations along with everything else. Many people probably won't be able to take time off for thanksgiving, Christmas & baby showers. But if you decide to do your own celebration I would try for after Christmas -- everything is on sale then!! Plus they would have plenty of notice to try and fit it in their schedules after all the holiday craziness. Good luck & congrats to your big family! I am on my first and hope to have at least 3 children if everything goes right 😊

It's fine. I'm due in January and doing mine on October to get it in before holidays and birthdays.

I'll only be 27 weeks, my mom planned it early cause with my first one I had to be induced at 35 weeks for preeclampsia and without whatever I don't get at the shower at least I'd have plenty of time to get the rest

I'll only be 30 weeks when I have my baby shower which will be 11/22.  I'm worried about the holidays too...and being in the Boston area and the weather was terrible last year so I don't want to wait until January. November is a good time

I think that's a great time, especially because you'll have it before the holidays (meaning everyone coming to your shower won't be broke and can buy you cute things) 😉

I'm also due in February. My showers will begin in November as well. Perfect timing cause I'll be on bed rest as well.  Possibly induce in January though.

You can have ur shower whenever u want. I think anytime after u find out the gender is ideal of you want gender specific colors or themes. You know ur history of births so it makes sense for u to have ur shower at 26 weeks. I'm having mine today at 32 weeks and I'm exhausted 26 weeks I would have been more up for it....now I'd rather sleep today way lol

I'm due Second week of Feb and I was going to have my shower second week of jan...to give people opportunity to hit holiday sales.  But not I'm confused on what to do. I'll be 35 weeks. First baby and clueless

Sounds like a good time to do it. It'll be less stressful for you (with the whole bed rest thing) and less stress ful for others because of holidays
