Clomid success??

I have PCOS with very irregular periods. I took fertilaid on 9/11, went to the dr and was given progesterone to start to take on 10/1 to start my period and was told to call the day my period started. Well that was on 9/15 and a few hours later 9/15 I got my period! So that was awesome, I didn't have to wait! So I started clomid 50mg on 9/17 and I'm taking it cd 3-7. I take my last pill tomorrow I am also on metformin however I started it only 2 days before taking clomid so I'm not sure if it will be effective yet. Anyway, I've been reading a lot of posts saying how they've been on clomid for months with no results, a lot with girls with pcos and I'm getting so discouraged :( My husband and I have been trying for a little over a year and he deploys for 8 months in December, so I'm hoping to get pregnant before he leaves! I'd love to hear success stories for anyone who got their bfp on their first round or any advice is also appreciated!!
