My so and I are wanting to get married but I'm not sure what people will think if I get married at the age of 19. What are some of your opinions

I got married at 19 to a man I had only been with for about a year. Best decision I ever made. A lot of people disagreed but oh well.

I am not married, but we have been together since we were 17 and 19. We moved in together a couple of months into our relationship because we were both having a rough time at home and 9 years later we are still together. I'm not saying it always works out, but if you really love each other then I don't think you should worry about others will say or think!

We got married 2 years to the day that my husband asked me out. I was 19 and he was 20. We've now been married for 5 years.

If people look down on you, or pull what my mum pulled then f**** them, this is your life, and you can't deny love when it curb stomps you.

I can also say that being that young and married and both of us in school was WILDLY beneficial to us financially. FAFSA was easier, some scholarships even put us at the top of the list because of our grades and that we were married.

Our budgeting and credit building was also supremely easier as a joint household!

Wait. I got married at 19 and I was a train wreck. I've remarried since then and it's the greatest thing I could have hoped for. I've had 7 years to rediscover myself (super abusive and controlling relationship) and know exactly what I want and you know what? I got it. 
On the other hand, you're legally an adult and can do whatever you want. Who cares what other people think of you? To quote my own father "it's not your business what other people think of you or what you do" 
Whatever your choice, I hope happiness for you :)

Make sure you are really in love. When you get older personalities changes and you start wanting new things. So make sure you grow together instead of apart. There are people who get married young and stay together forever so do what makes you happy. Get married because you love him and he loves you.

Do what makes you happy. Screw what everyone thinks. If y'all been dating a year or more then go for it. If you're worried because you haven't known each other long then that could be a concern but it worked out for my husband and I!! Married for 2 years and decided on marriage after being 2gtr maybe 4 months so we've been together 3 years!!

My husband and I got married the day before his twentieth birthday (I had turned twenty a couple of months before). We've been extremely happy, but like I've tried to explain to other people, we've been best friends since we were fourteen. I think it really depends on your foundation as a couple... if you haven't known each other long or you don't have anything to hold you together (aside from kids), don't do it. If you're rock solid, age doesn't matter.

I got married at 20. I also worried what people would think, but I tried to ignore the worries I had. I knew I was in love. Now I'm 28, happily married for 8 years! We have a son and are TTC #2! If you want to and in love I say go for it! I knew what I wanted! I don't think 19 is too young to know you're in love.
