Military spouse!

 Okay my husband is deploying soon, but before he does we are going home for Thanksgiving. He wants to wait and tell his family right when we get there but I want him to wait till the middle or end of the trip. I want the trip to be about spending quality time with family and enjoying each other's company and not all about his deployment. I feel selfish for feeling this way. I've talked to my husband about my feeling and I don't think he really gets it because he likes that everything is about him... Lol So how did you handle family and deployment?
