Birth control?

My SO wants me on birth control after I have my second kid. But I got on depo after my first child and my body was so fucked up. I'm afraid to get on any birth control now. Everything is different for everyone but I'm really scared. I do not plan on getting on birth control again but my SO is pushing it. What should I do?

The Skyla IUD is painless and doesn't release hormones that your body doesn't already produce. It is the most effective type of birth control out there.

The pill really messed with my body (I got super emotional all the time and gained 15-20 lbs), I switched to the IUD and couldn't be happier.

There was hardly any pain when they inserted it (it was like a 10 second cramp), and mine lasts for 3 years! It is more effective than the pill and it doesn't mess with your body at all.

It is just a tiny device that blocks the semen from getting to your egg. The depo shot and the pills release hormones in your body that prevent you from ovulating, which can have major effects on your mood/body/etc.

I would talk to your doctor about it, also! There are some less-satisfied stories about the IUD, but my doctor said that out of all of the ones that she had inserted (hundreds) there have only been a couple of undesirable cases.
