Karo syrup to help with constipation?

Has anyone ever tried this in the BABYS bottle to help them with their constipation? How did it work for your babys? And my baby will be a month old on the 6th. Is that too young?

Karl syrup is corn syrup...I bieve it's more of an old fashion treatment. Juice works best...purne or even pear juice mixed with water works best. When my baby was 4 months old she went up to 6 days without a bowl movement and becuase she was breastfeed she typically went with each feeding! So, the dr recommended juice and it worked. To get her to actually drink it I had to dilute 1 ounce of juice in 3 ounces of brestmilk. Is your baby constipated??? Like trying to go and can't or have they just not gone in a few days? It actually is normally for newborns to go up to a week without pooping so just becuase they don't go doesn't mean they are constipated.

I did it for my little guy it worked. But what really worked for him my pediatrician said was an ounce of prune juice and an ounce of water he went within 10 mins.

I did. Can't remember how old my son was - but he was about that young I think. We put just a little in his bottle. Worked great. Pretty quickly too.

My sons pediatrician said the ingredient that used to be in kayro syrup to help with constipation isn't used anymore so it wouldn't help. My son uses milk of magnesia every night. I would call the doctor to see what they suggest.
