Taking his virginity

For starters I'm nearly 17, I'm not a virgin, however, my boyfriend is, he's 18. We've talked about having sex we are a long way of it but it's better safe than sorry. I'm really uncomfortable about the fact I'll be taking his virginty because my experience wasn't the best. I regret it a lot and I don't want him feeling the same.

He only briefly knows what happened around me loosing it because I'm not too happy talking about it. I would tell him but he gets angry about it because he thinks he knows. Regardless he works away a lot and I'm not exactly close with my parents so really I can't talk to them plus they work full time across the country.

I dont know why I'm so uncomfortable about it. Any advice welcome.
