What to do...

I met this really great guy through one of my friends and from the start we hit it off. We had been talking for a month but about a week ago he told me that he was still in love with his ex and that he didn't want to rush into things. Now I was warned by my friend and him both that he was still getting over his ex so we tried to take things slow. The problem was he always wanted me to sleep over. and it was only sleeping over nothing else. I got used to being next to him and we ended things when he told me that he felt like he was cheating on his ex with me. We both want each other in our lives and he says he does have feelings for me I just don't know what to do. He never texts me, I never see him anymore, and I really don't like it.. Should I continue to text him and try to make plans and such or should I just stop talking to him? I need advice.
