Would having sex in your regular fertility window matter when on BC?

I've been on BC for the past week and a half and wondered if there was still a need to abstain from sex during my fertility window or if I just don't have one anymore because of my BC pill.

Your doctor should have told you to use other protection for the 1st month.  If it's only been 1 week then you probably aren't safe to go unprotected yet.

You're protected from pregnancy after 7 days of taking the pill correctly. You no longer have a fertile window. And if you did manage to have some sort of breakthrough ovulation, it wouldn't be something you could predict.
