Birth control to stop bleeding

So I went to the dr today. After 13 days of bleeding during my first period after d&c I was so ready for it to end. The doctor suggested that I take a month of birth control. 3 today 2 tomorrow, and 1 for the remainder of the pack. She said it would stop bleeding right away. So I took the 3 for today. But now, the more I think about it the more I don't want to wait until next month. I want to try now. I've been looking forward to trying again. Think I could just not take the pills anymore this month? How bad would that be? 😕
