Should your husband cook and clean, if the wife goes to work all day? Sometimes I want to see my man cook up a meal lol( even though he can't cook) or if both wife and husband works who should do the cooking and cleaning?

If something needs to be done it should be up to to person who notices first.

Imo Things should be spilt. If both work you can't expect one to do everything. My husband & I used to split most things that needed to be done. I'd cook he'd put away the food & clean up (he can cook he just makes a huge mess & has to to use a million pots lol) I'd do laundry he'd put everything away & etc lol

We take turns. A few days a week he cooks, some days I cook, I usually vacuum because his attention to detail is lacking for me here 😂 I will usually do all the laundry, but he knows if he needs something by a certain day (clean softball uniform, etc) and I haven't gotten to it, he needs to be a big boy and do it himself, or wear it dirty. He mows the lawn. I usually put the garbage out by the door to the house from the garage and he will take it to the can. We both work full time so housework is a joint effort as well. When we don't feel like cooking or cleaning because we are both too tired, we don't. It's our lazy tax, we probably wouldn't spend so much on take out if I stayed home instead of working, not like we spend a lot on takeout, but that's not an option at the moment. It's a balance.

Mine does most of the cooking. We've had times where he was unemployed or working part time so he was here, it made more sense. He just went back to full time (YAYYYY!!) and we are considering creating a schedule so we can divvy it up evenly

I think it should be split if both work outside the home. Unfortunately I do everything, and it's my fault for allowing it. He has cleaned the house maybe once or twice and cooks very randomnly. Been with him 7 years and I married the fool (;

I don't work & my husband does. So I take care of almost all of the cleaning/cooking/laundry...but he still does certain things around the house (dishes after dinner, litter box, takes trash out) & picks up after himself. When we are both working we both pitch in equally....I do feel like if one stays home and the other works than the one at home should do most of the chores...but that's just my opinion :)

If he didnt have a job yes he would be expected to do it.. Hes the worst cleaner anyway, I wouldnt even want to see my house after him being home alone for a week haha
