Baby drooling at 8 weeks ?

My baby is already 8 weeks and 3 days and she drools a lot idk if this is because she doesn't like the pacifier and I was trying to put the one that contains honey but my friend who  had her baby around the same time I did was giving it to her baby and they told her it was bad for the baby that it can cause death and the doctor trashed the pacifier, so I wanna know if it's normal for my baby to drool a lot ? Or can it be because she might be growing teeth ? Or is it to soon ?

My daughter just turned 10 weeks old and she has been drooling a lot for a while. I thought maybe teething because she is chewing a lot too. The dr said no, that it's just the developmental stage of them exploring with their mouths starting. I'm not sure I'm totally buying that answer.

It could be teething but highly unlikely. The salivary glands really start "working" around 3 months so that is usually where the increased drooling comes from

Don't give a baby that's 8 weeks old honey. It's been shown to increase a child's chances of diabetes. Also, this is a group for people who had babies in August 2015, you might want the August 2016 group

My first had his 2 bottom teeth at 2 and a half months, so very possible! He was the worst drooler. My now 2 month old also is drooling so much that I'm thinking he is probably going to get teeth early like his brother!

Please do not give your baby honey. I have a cousin that had a little girl she was perfectly healthy, my cousin would give her the pacifier with honey to calm her down when she would get fussy. That little girl went from a perfectly healthy baby, to where she's doesn't speak, walk and is almost blind. She's all grown up now this happen many years ago. I am terrified of honey.😔

This thread is a relief to read- my baby has been drooling recently (she's 2 months) and I didn't know why.

My little lady just had her 2mth appointment and I asked her doctor if she was teething cuz she is drooling really bad and wants to chew on everything including her bottles instead of eating and her nose is so runny and he said she is teething cuz her gums are swollen and red but she prolly won't have any teeth come thru her gums for another couple months so it is possible.

I had the same question, I even thought my son was teething!! Nope, dr said its normal, especially since my some had "found" his hands which makes him drool even more.

And the Honey thing, I'm sure by now you know it's not good for infants. I'm not sure how anyone made a pai with honey in it, but do keep away from it.

Babies shouldn't have honey until they're a year old. Honey contains botulism that their stomach can't break down that ours can.

My daughter is almost 9 weeks and she's been drooling like crazy for about a week. I'm pretty sure it's normal. :)
