Care.com???

Question

Has anyone used a site called care.com for a babysitter?? My fiancé and I live no where near family and don't know anyone here but really needing a day out alone. Not comfortable leaving my 6 month old with just anyone and would like some feed back good or bad. Thank you!

Care.com the babysitters have to have a background check. I used to be on it when it just came out. You can also interview the person before you allow them to watch your child :)

It's a decent sight. I've gotten several jobs through care.com. You can ask for info about the caregiver, request a background check, and you can set up an interview to meet them in person before you hire them. The two jobs I got from the site, the people hiring actually had me come (kinda like a 3 day trial period) for a few days while they stayed home with me and the child, to monitor me and my reactions around their kid, and to make sure I wasn't a psycho. 😉 Then if you get a bad vibe and feel like that person just isn't a good fit, then don't hire them.

I'm a nanny and I found my current job on care.com. Most families will ask to meet you somewhere that's not their house first and then will have you on a trial period To make sure that you are qualified. I work for a military family (marines) so as you can imagine they did not take the background check lately Lol. They had a cop friend do a background check on me as well as the one from care.com. (DISCLAIMER: if you put your information on the care.com website do not accept text messages or emails claiming that they found you on Care.com they are all scams unless they come from the site itself)

Yes I highly recommend care.com! You het access to references, profile pictures and background checks. It's awesome
