Why won't it disappear

I have/use to have acne, it is barely existent anymore after years and years of dealing with it. The problem is, it has left my back and chest covered in scars from it, the simplest thing I scar from, even scratches and I just feel insecure, how do I get them to at least fade as I'm naturally very pale and have tried the sun, but just want to be at least comfortable with them! Any help appreciated!
