How can you tell if your breasts are swollen?

For the past few days my breasts have been so sore, started when I would take my bra off for the night and into the morning but now it is constantly BUT I cannot tell if they are swollen or not. I may be naive, I don't know. I have asked my husband to touch and see but he is just dorky about it and says he has no clue. I think they have bur is there any way to really tell. Sorry, I'm probably clueless
